Our Team

Dr. Rashmi Bisen grew up in Fayetteville, NC, a military community right next to Fort Bragg and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Bisen learned how diseases of the body can affect the eyes and it made her realize that one's eyes are truly windows to what's going on in their body. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Dr. Bisen's favorite stories involve children who get their first pair of glasses and see the world clearly. She takes pride in the fact that she can help people who have been told that their vision "is what it is". Helping these patients figure out a way to improve their vision either through contacts, glasses or prisms gives Dr. Bisen professional satisfaction. She has received multiple Clinical Letters of Excellence in Patient Care awards.

Dr. Bisen specializes in Diabetic Eye Exams, Pediatrics, Diagnosis and Management of Ocular Diseases, Contact Lenses, Lasik Evaluations, and Dry Eye Treatment. She is a proud member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. When she is not busy educating patients about the importance of Diabetic Eye Exams at Community Health Fairs, Dr. Bisen enjoys reading, spending time with her family - especially her 6month old son - hiking , and yoga. “Patient Care is very important to me. Dr. Elina Mathew has been a practicing Therapeutic Optometrist in the state of Texas for the last 11 years. She is a graduate of the University of Houston: College of Optometry. Before graduation, she completed an internship at Golden Eye Clinic in Center, Texas. Dr. Mathew has a particular interest in fitting contact lenses as well as the medical aspects of optometry. 

Dr. Mathew enjoys travel, spending time with her family, cooking and spending time outdoors. She enjoys learning new languages and can speak some Spanish and her native language, Malayalam.
